Welcome to SA Paging (SApaging.com)

Hello, it looks like you've arrived here from SA-Scan.

If you are in a hurry click here to go straight to the pager feed, but if you take 2 minutes to read this page you should end up saving time.

You are now on SApaging.com which appears on SA-Scan (in a small box) but is not part of SA-Scan. SA-Scan has never run a pager feed, it has always linked to one on another website.

You can continue to enter SApaging.com from SA-Scan, but there are many better ways to bookmark SApaging.com, here are some of the popular starting points...

SAAS and MedSTAR tend to only have 1 pager message per dispatch number, so "jobs" feeds are far less useful to follow for those two agencies, but here they are for completness.

"jobs" tracks current and past incidents, collecting all the pager messages for an incident into one location. Instead of scrolling page after page of messages, everything is collated for you. On really busy fire days, this is the only way to keep track of what's happening.

All the pager messages...

On both types of feed you'll see a list of incidents, tap or click any one to bring up all the collated info, maps, job status (CFS, MFS, SES) and more.

At the top of all pages is a menu, the first tab is "Filters" which has all the links above and dozens more popular ones, e.g. CFS and MFS combined or every agency combined.

The "Search" tab is very powerful, you can search the original pager messages or on information inferred from the messages. For example, you can search on "Region 1" for CFS even though that isn't mentioned in the message. You can also search on things like the postcode of the incident location.

"Search" is more than querying history - it's live. Leave the search results page open and new messages/jobs will appear in real-time, and you can bookmark any search results to act as a custom pager feed. A selection of searches/feeds you've visited appears under the "History" tab.
You can have a custom pager or jobs feed for your brigade, unit, group, region, your suburb or specific incident type. Top tip: experiment with one search box at a time, not multiple.

If you do not like the layout OR colours, experiment with the "Themes" tab - there are 18 different pager message feed themes. Most people prefer the organised layouts that make it very efficient to scan an entire page of message or jobs quickly. However, some people prefer the "traditional" layout as shown on pagers.
Please give the pastel colours a day or two and you'll never go back to the vivid colours you may be familiar with. Pastels are much gentler on the eye once you're used to them. The black text on lighter backgrounds works well in any light.

The "Maps" tab offers aircraft tracking for Medstar and CFS water bombers, grass fire danger index maps and more.

Please find a feed that suits your requirements and bookmark it or add it to you phone's homescreen. On a typical day there are around 3,000 pager messages, you really don't need to download them all. I save multiple feeds on my phone's home screen for the fastest access to what I want.

SApaging.com uses modern efficient html markup (webpage formatting). Browsers older than 5 years old are unlikely to work. If you see a blank screen on an old browser - sorry it's too old.

I have a Facebook chat group if you want to discuss the feeds or let me know if you like them.
